About New Tricks

Part industrial shed and part Queenslander speakeasy, New Tricks runs on boutique gins and easygoing neighborhood energy. Regulars drop in for house-distilled Monte gin flights, cold Monte Spritzes, and generous charcuterie boards alongside local Granite Belt pours. When milestone parties and private receptions take over the floor, the team hands over the reins—letting hosts bring food trucks, set up self-catered spreads, and cue up playlists or the karaoke rig. Drinks come served in heavy cut-glassware at the long bar, while fresh baked bread and warm olives round out casual catch-ups.

  • House Distilling & Local Pours: Pours proprietary spirits like house-made Monte gin alongside curated Granite Belt wines and signature cocktails.
  • Self-Catering Event Space: Offers flexible DIY hosting for celebrations, accommodating self-catering setups, external food trucks, and karaoke.
  • Speakeasy Aesthetics: Blends industrial shed styling with classic Queenslander character and prohibition speakeasy details.
  • Dog-Friendly & Easy Access: Welcomes dogs in the bar and provides ample free street parking right alongside the neighboring sports oval.
