About The Bread Social - Currumbin Waters

Tucked into an industrial pocket of Currumbin Waters, this bustling bakery turns out some of the coast’s most serious artisan loaves and morning bakes. Gold Coast hospo crews make early runs here for sourdough with proper crumb and thick-cut halloumi-and-egg focaccia. Through a wide glass pane at the back, you can watch the bakers shape loaves and pull trays of cinnamon scrolls straight from the ovens. The room moves fast even on packed Saturday mornings, with bowls out for dogs, quick espresso pours, and hot lamb sausage rolls landing on tables.

  • Open Bakery View: A wide glass window looks directly into the production bakery, letting visitors watch bakers hand-shape loaves and pastries.
  • Artisan Bakes & Focaccia: Morning counters stay stocked with sourdough loaves, halloumi-and-egg focaccia, savory rolls, and fresh cinnamon scrolls.
  • Swift Service & Dog-Friendly: An organized counter keeps lines moving swiftly on busy weekends, with plenty of room and outdoor dog-friendly seating.

Why Choose The Bread Social

  • Handcrafted Breads & Daily Savouries

The bakery team prepares a massive variety of fresh sweet and savoury items daily, from fluffy halloumi and egg focaccias to crispy sausage rolls and artisan sourdough loaves.

Highly recommend the focaccias. We loved the halloumi and egg focaccia. A fluffy texture, delicious flavours. Sausage rolls, cinnamon scrolls and danishes were also delightful.

Visiting on a Saturday morning was very busy (of course), but the long line went quickly and still plenty of room to dine in. The food is delicious - nothing beats a good, love-made sourdough - and the staff are friendly and efficient.

  • Hands-On Sourdough Masterclasses

In-depth, small-group sourdough workshops led by expert bakers provide practical techniques, finished loaves, and take-home dough ready to bake.

The class was intimate with only 12 people at a time. The team were fantastic. No question too big or small. Sampled incredible bread post class too. Left with 6 loaves to cook at home, 1 of their beautifully crafted loaves to eat at home, flour and a tote.

  • Industrial Pocket Retreat

Tucked away in Currumbin Waters' light industrial area, the bakery offers a calm respite and hidden-gem cafe atmosphere away from busy coastal strips.

Tucked away in a rather stark and industrial part of town, this bakery and cafe is the kind of place you’d never expect to find, and that’s exactly what makes it so special.

Outdoor sheltered umbrella seating, open spaces, and water bowls make it a seamless, welcoming destination for guests bringing their dogs along for breakfast.

sat under umbrellas and lucky for us we were out of the rain. Monday morning at 9.30 am, we will be back, well done team. A little water bowl for our dog was appreciated.
