Set directly against the sand at Kirra Beach, this sunlit perch delivers front-row Pacific panoramas paired with coastal seafood. It is an energetic room—always lively and running at full tilt—where long lunches easily drift into sundowner territory. The kitchen lets quality produce lead, turning out freshly shucked oysters, delicate market fish, and tuna tartare alongside balanced cocktails. The centerpiece remains the prawn and Moreton Bay bug risotto, finished with pink champagne cream and rich seafood depth. Table allocations get tight during peak hours, but a dedicated walk-in section offers leeway for spontaneous arrivals fresh off a flight into Coolangatta.

An open, modern setting with crashing waves and gentle ocean breezes creates an effortless environment to unwind and decompress.
the view was very nice and the ambience of people talking, sea breeze and waves crashing to the beach was very soothing.
Chan Gwen Effortless Airport Gateway Dining
Its prime beachfront position minutes from Gold Coast Airport makes it a natural first stop after landing or a final seaside send-off.
We decided it was the perfect spot to round off our visit to the Goldie, given it's close proximity to the airport, and excellent reputation.
Alix Helps Permanent Dedicated Walk-In Seating
Unlike many destination dining venues that mandate total pre-booking, designated seating is kept open for spontaneous drop-ins and post-flight arrivals.

Before you head over
Essential advice on booking times, parking, and walk-in seating for your visit to Kirra Beach
Book Early and Time for Sunset
The dining room gets very busy and fills up quickly, so reserve well in advance—aiming for a 5:30 PM sitting if you want to catch the winter sunset over the beach.
Plan Ahead for Street Parking
Street parking along Marine Parade can be tricky to find during peak dining periods, so allow plenty of extra time before your booking to locate a spot.
Utilise the Dedicated Walk-In Section
If you are arriving straight from a flight at Coolangatta Airport without an advance booking, head in anyway—there is a dedicated section reserved for walk-ins.
