A good question.
A local answer.

Check current Queensland restraint rules and the resort's arrival instructions before travel. A prearranged pickup can be worth the cost after a long flight.

Choose a different style for each gathering and check menus, recent reviews and group-table policies. A place ideal for a casual lunch may not fit a celebratory dinner.

Compare the total 24-hour charge, weekend rules, height restrictions and ability to enter or leave after hours. Check whether the fee restarts at midnight or by elapsed time.

Compare the true cost of a park pass with the one or two attractions you would use. For a budget trip, local scenery and a well-chosen meal may be better value.

Map each building to a tram stop, supermarket and the part of Surfers you expect to visit. A small transport saving matters when you make the trip every day.

Put nearby activities together and avoid a long drive on the day after a midnight arrival. A slower start helps the whole week.

Use the official journey planner for the exact landing date and account for baggage and any flight delay. The last useful connection may be earlier than the advertised final service.

Check the current operation and transport for any island visit before adding it. Make the island a full day only if its attractions are a priority for your family.

Choose by the activities you will actually do: theme-park transfers, beach mornings or evening dining. Four nights is long enough for a convenient base to matter.

Keep one beach or pool day available if the forecast is pleasant. Check daylight and rain before setting off into the hills, where conditions may differ from the coast.

Read current maintenance and operating notices before buying a dated ticket. If few attractions suit your child, a beach or wildlife outing may be a happier choice.

Check the pickup and return depot hours, vehicle availability and excess terms. A central location on a map may still require a long walk with bags.
